Leaving on a jet plane... where should I go?

I won a round-trip airfare on Virgin America in a contest on Mashable about a week ago. Adam Hirsch sent me my magic code yesterday. I need to go somewhere Virgin flies before the end of May. Memorial Day weekend is blacked out.

Possible destinations are San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas or Seattle. I'll have to fly from Detroit to Washington, D.C., first, but that's no problem (Virgin America's only East Coast destinations are New York and Washington - so far). I've heard some great things about Virgin America, and I'm looking forward to trying them out, especially for free.

I'd like to use the free trip to go to a tech-related event on the West Coast this spring. Any suggestions?
